General Mission: The Darien Nature Center is dedicated to introducing the wonders of the natural world to children and adults alike. The wooded trail, pond, park lands, and animal habitat room are the classrooms for the education programs and events. The Children's Room has changing, hands-on exhibits for the young child to explore. The Darien Nature Center is open to the public weekdays from 9 to 1.
