General Mission: Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center is an environmental education facility and natural history museum located on a lovely 125-acre sanctuary in Mystic, Connecticut. Last year, programs reached some 20,000 people, mostly school children (K-6), but also preschoolers, families, and seniors. The nature preserve encompasses a diversity of habitats - pond, stream, field and forest. It is also steward of the 30-acre Peace Sanctuary adjacent to the Mystic River. The Center's mission is to inspire and nurture appreciation of the natural world and foster a personal environmental ethic.
