- General Mission
- The Wethersfield Nature Center is an environmental education facility devoted to education of all ages. Its mission is to share and explore knowledge about our natural world and its inhabitants by offering various programs. On-site animal exhibits provide unique exposure to many reptiles, mammals and birds. Programs are offered for children during school vacations, preschool programs, and its popular Adventures in Summer programs. These adventures track the signs of Spring and life in the woods and on the farm. Some programs take children to faraway environments like the Arctic and the Rainforest. Others explore the limits of science and how it touches our lives. Community outreach and adult programs are available, too.
