General Mission: Arcadia Nature Center and Wildlife Sanctuary is approximately 550 acres of floodplain forest, marsh, meadow, and upland forest situated partly on an ancient oxbow of the Connecticut River bordering the present famous oxbow. The sanctuary is noted for its variety of flood plain habitats and for the observation tower overlooking the marsh.
