2. APPLIED ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION - CALL FOR PAPERS

Applied Environmental Education and Communication is an international
peer-reviewed quarterly for both academics and practitioners that features
articles, a discussion and editorial section, and books and materials
reviews. The journal seeks to advance a synergistic relationship between
research and practical information to help readers solve real environmental
problems. Authors are encouraged to report what did not work as well as what
did work and make suggestions for future strategies. This multidisciplinary
journal is written in a straightforward style with a minimum of technical
jargon.

The journal is currently accepting articles for Volume 1, which will be
published in 2002. For submission guidelines visit:

Railroad Retirement Bill (H.R. 10) that would have opened up the Arctic
National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to oil and natural gas drilling. The energy
amendment, sponsored by Senate Minority Leader Trent Lott (R-MO) and Senator
Frank Murkowski (R-AK), was combined with a six-month ban on human cloning.

week that will focus on conservation and renewable energy.
