North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE),
with funding from the Environmental Education and Training Partnership
(EETAP).

Join us for an interactive workshop on the wonders and issues surrounding marine biodiversity, as well as the future of fisheries?including how this will integrate into your work or teaching. A. Combining Forces: National Citizen Science Network

Coordinator: Mindy LaBranche

What makes a partnership work? Learn about successful partnerships among groups with national, regional, and local citizen-science programs. Discover approaches for enhancing strengths and de-emphasizing weaknesses to the benefit of all partners in your collaborative efforts. Together with the presenters, you will develop strategies for effective partnerships for your organization.

 

 

B. EE Research 101: An Introduction to Techniques and Methodologies

In order to provide a smooth transition from the Research Symposium that immediately preceded the NAAEE conference and to allow for the broadest possible exposure to the topic, this session will focus on EE research techniques and methodologies with presentations from international EE research experts.

 

 

C. Environmental Education and the Arts

Coordinator: Laurel Devaney

Cost: $75.00

 

Adding creative movement, poetry, music and art to your environmental education program enriches your message and addresses the wide diversity of learning styles in your audience.  You will leave this workshop with songs, music, completed art projects, and a whole toolbox of techniques for incorporating the arts into your environmental education program.

 

H.   Partnering Individually and Collectively ? Internationally
Coordinator: Brian Day
Cost: $68.00 

This session, brought to you by the International Commission, is meant for us to discuss specific ways we can partner our work in EE to create the largest potential network.  This session will pick up where the wonderful work at WSSD left off.
