18. EE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM SURVEY
The Center for Science Teaching and Learning at Northern Arizona
University has been considering offering a certificate program for
informal / environmental educators for several years. This on-line
survey is designed to find out what the needs and desires of informal
educators are before creating a program. It should only take about 5
minutes (or less) to complete and would be extremely useful in
developing a program that makes sense. NAAEE is exploring the
development of a national certification program
(http://naaee.org/projects/certification.pdf). Many other states in the
country are developing or have already developed environmental education
certificate programs as well (see NAAEE Communicator Autumn 2004,
Vol.34/No.3http://naaee.org/news/communicator_summer04.pdf.) Thank you
for your time and input.
