Educators, both from North Carolina and other states, as well as international teachers from China, Brazil, and Finland, will experience this transformative week in the North Carolina mountains! This workshop immerses teachers in the mountain environment through research presentations and outdoor activities motivating educators to develop hands-on, inquiry-based activities to take back to their own classrooms and non-formal centers. Workshop will include presentations about different countries, scientists and experts on air, water quality, wildlife, and natural history of the area. This 8-module, middle school environmental history curriculum allows teachers to download in pdf format, self-contained activities based upon archival materials.
