Directions to WCL from Downtown DC via Mass Transportation (Metro)

1. Take the Red Line Train toward Shady Grove and stop at Friendship Heights Metro Stop. (Remember to get a bus transfer ticket before taking the escalator to the platform at your departing Metro station).

2. Follow exit signs toward Western Avenue and then signs to bus lines.

3. Take an "N" bus (i.e. N2, N4, etc.) toward Farragut Square.

4. The bus route takes you down Western Avenue and will go around the circle, turning left onto Massachusetts Avenue. You will signal the driver to stop at the third stop on Massachusetts Avenue in front of WCL (there is a Crate & Barrel and Starbuck's Coffee on your right).

OR

1. Take the Red Line Train toward Shady Grove and stop at Tenleytown-AU Metro Stop.

2. Exit the station to your left, go up the escalators and walk straight in front of you all the way to the curb (you will see Hollywood Video to your left). The AU Shuttle Bus will pick you up every 15-30 minutes depending on the day.

3. Take the AU Shuttle Bus to Main Campus and stop at Anderson Hall/Southside of Campus.

4.There you will switch AU buses and take the bus to WCL; this bus leaves every half an hour.

1) From Northeast of Washington (New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore)

From northeast of Washington (New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore), follow Interstate 95 south or Interstate 66 west to Interstate 495, the Capital Beltway Follow I-495 west. From Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) leave at exit 39 and carefully follow the signs for River Road (Maryland route 190) south toward Washington. Continue south toward Washington on River Road to the fifth traffic light. Turn right onto Goldsboro Road (Maryland route 614). At the first traffic light, turn left onto Massachusetts Avenue (Maryland route 396). Continue on Massachusetts Avenue for about two miles, past the first traffic circle (Westmoreland Circle). The law school is located one half-mile up on the left-hand side of the street. Visitors can park in the WCL parking garage.

2) From South or West of Washington (Norfolk, Richmond, Charlottesville)

From south or west of Washington (Norfolk, Richmond, and Charlottesville) follow Interstate 95 north or Interstate 66 east to Interstate 495, the Capital Beltway. From Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) leave at exit 39 and carefully follow the signs for River Road (Maryland route 190) south toward Washington. From northwest of Washington (western Pennsylvania, western Maryland), follow Interstate 270 south. Where I-270 divides, follow the right-hand branch toward northern Virginia (not towards Washington). Merge with Interstate 495, the Capital Beltway, and soon afterwards leave at exit 39, River Road From Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) leave at exit 39 and carefully follow the signs for River Road (Maryland route 190) south toward Washington. Continue south toward Washington on River Road to the fifth traffic light. Turn right onto Goldsboro Road (Maryland route 614).
